Nose Surgery can be performed electively or post traumatic injury.
After nasal surgery there will be swelling and redness around the nose which can sometimes extend to the eyebags. This is considered normal.
You may also find that a cast has been placed over the nose to hold it in place and avoid any knocks to the nose whilst sleeping or carrying out activity.
You will be back to work in 1 to 2 weeks.
More strenuous activities: 2 to 3 weeks.
Avoid hitting nose or sunburn: 8 weeks.
Final appearance takes 1 year or more before the final shape of the nose takes effect.
It is performed to reshape nose by reducing or increasing size, removing hump, changing shape of tip or bridge, narrowing span of nostrils, or changing angle between nose and upper lip.
May also relieve some breathing problems.
