Law degree: Post Graduate Diploma in Law (Honours)

Degree of the Utter Bar: The Honourable Society of Middle Temple, London

After graduating as a Surgeon and whilst training in Plastic, Aesthetic and Reconstructive Surgery, Dr Bhar studied for a Law degree at University of London graduating with Honours. A year later, Dr Bhar underwent further training to train as a Barrister with The Honourable Society of the Middle Temple and was called to the Degree of the Utter Bar.

He has the honour of being the first and quite likely the only Asian Surgeon, one of three Surgeons in the world to have been called to the Middle Temple Bar since inception in the middle of the 14th century.

Dr Bhar is respected by the legal fraternity for his opinions on medico-legal issues and medical negligence. He regularly provides legal opinions to lawyers and has been recognised by Judges for his expert opinions and arguments on emerging medico-legal issues.

He is an avid arts enthusiast and considers the interaction of art and surgical aesthetics as essential to achieving a natural and pleasing result following cosmetic surgery.

Experienced cosmetic surgeons display artistic skills as they need a good eye to establish a vision of their finished work and the processes required to achieve the goal for their patients. A good cosmetic surgeon requires a certain level of creativity, manual dexterity and meticulous skill to sculpt and reshape the human form.

Dr Bhar is a keen sportsman and enjoys Rowing, Polo, Golf, Tennis, Badminton and Football.

His father is one of the most eminent Barrister’s from Middle Temple practicing in Asia. His mother is an artist who sees painting as the representation of the dynamic acts of seeing through a seemingly arbitrary collection of visual colours from various perspectives. He has two siblings, an elder brother and a younger sister, both Barrister’s in London and Asia, both, from the Honourable Society of Middle Temple, London.

He has also trained along with and treated members of the British Armed Forces including officials from the Ministry of Defense - British Army, Royal Air Force and Royal Navy. Dr Bhar’s work involved working within a multidisciplinary team performing challenging cosmetic and reconstructive surgery on patients dealing with injuries received during combat and otherwise.

  • Help for Heroes;
  • The Prince’s Trust;

  • Operation Smile; and
  • United Nations International Children's Emergency Fund (UNICEF)
